A highly successful conference for people with disabilities (PWD) was held at Omalindi Village, with over 300 PWD participating and learning from the experiences shared by others on ways to cope with disabilities. During the event, participants acquired knowledge about key organizations, including Tonata, and how they can benefit from their services.

King Nangolo Shuumbwa of Ondonga Traditional Authority addressed the event with the powerful statement, ‘Lets fight stigma and dscrimination against people with disabilities.” King Shuumbwa recognized the need for representation of PWD, appointing Tt Lukas Shawana (a PWD) in his management team. He also called on the community to develop accessible facilities for PWD, demonstrating his commitment by donating 40 blocks of cements, 25 sinks, and bricks.
